Upgraded Linux box from Domino 6 to 6.0.1CF1

Hi,

Ive recently upgraded a Domino server on Linux from 6 to 6.0.1CF1. Ever since, roughly once a week the server crashes, telling me that Ive exceeded the number of assigned semaphores.

Ive done some checking, and its not the semaphores it runs out of, its arrays. The continue to accumulate over the week until they exceed 128 and then the server crashes. I cant see the reason why they accumulate or why used ones arent released for reuse.

This is very frustrating as we want to cut over from Win2k to this machine, but cant until we sort this problem out. Any ideas?

Thanks

here it doesn’t even start !direct silent segfault.

i’m getting really pissed off by the poor quality of the domino software :

-C api: total crap, dxl does not work, needs a full lotus client / server installation

  • java api: not complete, no portable dxl, needs iiop that does not work

just make lotus notes open source

this is the typical dumb remark from someone that does not know what open source means. it doesn’t mean give your work for free. it means provide your customers with sources and the permission to modify them.

We have also problems with 6.0.1CF1 under Linux, mainly DIIOP crashes immediatly when someone is trying to use it. I think 6.0.1CF1 under Linux is seriously … broken … dunno why, 6.0.1 works just fine.
