Hi All,please help me about upgrading r5 into r8.5.
currently, i have 3 r5 servers. all servers in r5. server topology is hub and spoke.
if i want to upgrade all servers to r8.5, which one that, i should upgrade it first? is it the hub server or the spoke server ?
is there any problems if, names.nsf in the upgraded r8.5 server replaced with r5 names.ntf db design? also about mail.box, smtp.box, events4.nsf databases.
and how about the replication from R8.5 server to R5 and it reverse?

Subject: I would upgrade Admin Server of Domino Directory first…
Not sure if that is your Hub or one of your spokes… I would go to all 8.5 System Templates… Not sure why you would consider leaving at down-level template…
Also, plan on upgrading to 8.5FP1 when it’s available…

Subject: Transfer Directory & Upgrade
I’d like to do something similar but I’d like to transfer to a new server that will be the new Directory.
Whilst I prepare what will be the new admin server, is it possible to upgrade to the new 8.5 directory structure on the new server and still replicate the directory to the old 7.0.2 server?
I’d like to also receive a copy of those presentations!
