Hi everybody.
I have a Domino server on a remote linux machine I access with ssh.
After upgrading this server (that is the administration server of the Domino Directory) the startup stalls waiting for the answer to the questioni if the Domino Directory design should be updated or not.
Usually I use the “Daniel Nash console” i.e.
/opt/nashcom/startscript/rc_domino_script console
(executed from the data dir and with the “notes” user).
Unfortunately this time I can see the console, I can see the question “do you want to upgrade … (Yes/No)” but when I type Yes + enter the console closes and the server stay there waiting.
I found there is a notes.ini parameter
SERVER_UPGRADE_NO_DIRECTORY_REDESIGN=0/1
that leave the design as it is (that is wrong) but I didn’t find a parameter that force the design to be upgraded.
This situation shouldn’t be so unusual, I wonder how do you proceed in this cases.
