Upgrade By Mail with Installshield Tuner problem

I’ve been testing upgrade by mail for upgrading clients from 5.0.11 to 6.5.1.

I created an InstallShield tuner .mst file and have it (and all the related files) located in a share that is accessible to all clients. All clients have manager access in their ACL.

In the ‘root path for install kits’, I specify the location of the InstallShield .mst file. (I’ve checked and rechecked the syntax and tried multiple variations all without success.)

If I enter a value in the ‘path for windows 95, 98…’ value, I get an ‘Unable to locate program’ error. When I leave this value blank, and the user clicks on the upgrade button, the Notes client exits entirely and then a window pops up displaying the contents of My Computer.

Can anyone explain this behavior?

Can anyone offer reasons why the .mst isn’t being called?

Thanks in advance.

PS - I’ve searched this forum and others using ‘upgrade by mail’ and ‘install shield’ as search words, read a lot of the posts and tried a lot of the suggestions, but still cannot get the .mst to execute.
