Upgrade 5.0.10 to 6.5.1

Hi, We want to upgrade 300 clients to Notes 6.5.1 from a R5 (multiple versions) environment. We want an automatic upgrade (with a login script strategy). I would like to look at 2 different possbile solutions. First is InstallShield Tuner and the other is InstallPump. Here are my questions:

1- Are the 2 solutions technically doable in my environment?

  a) I have been told by an InstallPump sales rep. that it was impossible to use the ISTuner if we bypass a version in our upgrade (like from 5.0.10 to 6.5.1 wouldnt work since we go by 6.0).  Is that true ?  I have tried it and it seems to work

2- What are your suggestions ? InstallPump or Tuner, right now I kind of like Tuner but I am just starting my testing.

I have been playing around with InstallShield Tuner as well, and I think it’s going to be what we are going with to upgrade about 3000 users from 5.0.5 to 6.5. We looked an Install Pump, but we were not impressed. FWIW Good luck!

So were you able to directly upgrade from R5 to R6.5 without independently upgrade to R6.0 ?

I guess I’ll save my company some $$$ and use the InstallShield Tuner then. It seems to work fine for me too. Thanks for your posts guys.
