I have a rich text field that holds a picture.
I need that picture to change based on a selection I make in a dialog list. How can I do this?
the help section tells me: You cannot write to a rich text field by using simple actions or formulas.
How can I accomplish this?
Subject: Two different methods
First, I am assuming that there is a finite set of images you want to be able to use, so you are really selecting which picture to display. The two most common ways to accomplish this would be:
a) Make them all image resources, and then insert the image resource based on a formula, which can be based on your selection. Make sure your selection is above the computed image resource on the form.
b) Use hide when formulas to control which image is displayed, with the hide formulas based on the selection. Make sure your selection keyword is set to refresh on change.

Actually, I am working with employee images that have been imported to a employee information forms.
This new db simply pulls the image from an employee view. I used a dblookup initailly to pull the first image into my rich text field. As I change the employee name, I want the displayed image to also change. How can I do this?
