Can I update a field from another form without having to open the form?
I have 2 forms, form1 has 2 fields - ID and Status, and a view call View1
Form2 has the ID passed through from Form1 and a Change Status Field.
So can I change the Status field in Form1 to lets say Disabled from Form2 when I hit save without me needing to open Form1

If you are openning up Document 2 from Document 1, then you can pass the UNID to Document 2. When Document 2 is saved you can then use the PostSave event and grab Document 1, using the UNID, and change it in the background using LotusScript. Note that if Document 1 is still open when you change the document in the background, you will have to refresh it or close and reopen it to view the changes.
