All the documentation I can find says there is no separate DWA template for Notes 8, but when I update the design of a database and try to access it through a browser, it looks like the non-DWA version, similar to what you see when you try to use the mail6.ntf instead of inotes6.ntf. There are checkboxes next to each memo in each folder.DWA-6 design works fine on this server. Is there some step I’m missing to enable DWA-8?

Hi David,
In Notes/Domino 8, there is no one merged Template - Mail8.ntf. There is no DWA8.ntf. What I am suspecting is that you may not have the correct Forms8.nsf in your Domino\Data\iNotes Folder. This Forms8.nsf database is crucial for DWA to work successfully and display properly.
If that is not the case, I would suggest creating a Test database based solely off of the Mail8.ntf Template. If that still does not appear properly via DWA, then you may have a bad Mail8.ntf Template.
From the sounds of it though, I would first suspect the Form8.nsf, then the Template.

Somehow the file was missing from the iNotes folder. The old forms5 and forms6 files were there, but no forms8. I copied the forms8.nsf from another server and we’re all set.I knew there had to be some missing piece, just couldn’t figure out what it was.
