Unwanted mail with subject "Your Account is Suspended For Security Reasons"

Hi Friends,I am getting messages from my domain with the subject “your account is suspended for security reasons” and the body messages are following

Dear Member,

We have temporarily suspended your email account xyz@xyz.com.

This might be due to either of the following reasons:

  1. A recent change in your personal information (i.e. change of address).

  2. Submiting invalid information during the initial sign up process.

  3. An innability to accurately verify your selected option of subscription due to an internal error within our processors.

See the details to reactivate your account.

Sincerely,The Support Team

the message also has an zipped attachment with name account details.zip. When I try to unzip it, showing account details.txt and the file type is ms dos program.

Why this message comes. We have checked the server and it is virus free.

Pl share the reason and the solution.

Subject: Unwanted mail with subject “Your Account is Suspended For Security Reasons”

It is a virus, possibly a Bagle variant (a lot of those about at the moment), but possibly some other type.

You can defeat these by denying any inbound SMTP mail that appears to be from your own local Internet domain.

What the first responder says is true. This is a virus, not a message generated by any of your Lotus Notes servers.
