This is a new one for me. After keying in her password, one of my users gets the following error message:
“Server error: There are not enough certificates attached to the document to verify the identity of its signer”
The client then exits. Took a look at the person document, which appears ok. I did not try opening up the id file on another workstation, as the message indicates that it’s a “Server error”.
For the time being, she is going to use Domino Web Access.
Any ideas? Anyone seen this one before?

If only error messages always told you exactly what to do!
Is it definitely the correct ID file?
I would say the first thing to try is the ID file on another workstation.
If it doesn’t work there either, try recertifying the ID file. I think there’s an extra level of encryption available in R7, and maybe the server thinks the ID file isn’t sophisticated enough.
If it does work on another workstation, I would firstly wipe out the bookmark on the dodgy one. This is the next thing the client tries to load after the password is entered, and perhaps the user’s Welcome page references some document on an old server that then causes it to crash. Never a bad idea to delete the cache.ndk at the same time.
Let us know how you get on.
