Notice the version numbers in the error message:
Unsupported project version. This project has been upgraded to the "7.3.0.20" version of Visualizer and cannot be opened in this version (7.3.0.20)**Image removed for security reasons**
The version numbers are identical 😂 !

Going by the releases we have made recently, this scenario is highly unlikely for a normal project.
We are looking into the issue to figure out what can cause this. The metadata which we compare to show this validation is part of ProjectProperties.json file in the project.
Is this happening for all your projects or a specific project?
Can you attach below files?

Please check if the value of the key "project_version" in the file <workspace><project>/projectProperties.json is "sprint27".

We quickly checked from our side by importing projects created on 7.2.0.x and 7.2.1.x versions and imported them to 7.3.0.20. We are unable to re-produce this issue.
This should not come unless value of project_version is changed manually or corrupted from <workspace><project>/projectProperties.json .

I got the project running again. The real problem was that the Visualiser 8 upgrade failed and had to be rolled back. I can't count the amount of Visualiser and Fabric upgrades which failed and had to be rolled back. I am kind of used to it.

Aah ! The project was upgraded to a higher version and Visualizer 7.3.0.20 has no knowledge of forward versions. so It is showing latest available version.
We can show another message if we don't find the version. Raised an internal ticket for this. Thanks for sharing this.
