Is the unread count on folders and inbox something you can deactivate? I’ve looked for a setting in the folder design and in the outline but I can’t find it. Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks!

Its a setting of the outline embedded in the page. You need to open the page and go to the embedded outline properties and uncheck “Show folder unread counts”

Found, thanks!

Tania,
I’m curious as to why you’d want to disable it. Some of us campaigned for years to get that feature in there!

Hi Mike,
Don’t shoot at me, an unhappy enduser asked me for this. Since the total count on his folder was wrong, he preferred no total to a wrong total. Even when the view was empty, he had an unread total > 0. I advised him to “select all” - “mark all as read” and then see if it worked fine from then on. I had no further complaints. Apparently sometimes the unread total is wrong when you just upgraded from R5 to R6.

There may be some documents which are not displayed in the view increasing the count.
I had this problem, but created a view to show all docs, and found the erroneous ones.
