Unread and email display

I have 2 users. one using 8.0.2 and the other 8.0.1

They open their mailfiles - go into inbox and select view unread only. As expected they see unread mails.

They then click on the date column to sort (latest at the top). The latest unread mail is displayed at the top - but also at the bottom. Everything else is ok.

Any ideas on why this latest email is displayed twice. (if some one sends them a new mail - the previously displayed twice is now displayed once and the new one is at the top and bottom)

This only occurs when sorting by date. I have tried replacing design, and locally deleting bookmark, cache etc but to no avail.

Any one got any ideas - I’m stuck.

sorry for digging up an old thread, I couldnt find ANYTHING else regarding this issue, but I’m having the same issue with a user here on 8.5

I initially deleted cache.ndk but there was no difference. I’ve managed to get it working eventually by deleting / replacing the following files;

as_user.nsf

names.nsf (replaced)

perweb.nsf

notes.ini

nsd.ini

workspace (DIR)

I then removed and re-added the database onto the workspace. Im not sure why any of these should affect what is being displayed.

I would try running a fixup -f and updall -R.

tried both - still happens.

If I open the users database on my client - I dont see the issue.

just noticed that if you run nlnotes.exe the issue does not occur.

only when running notes.exe

Subject: Workspace

Try renaming the workspace folder in the data directory, and re-launching the client. You could also try deleting the cache.ndk file.
