Unable to use Client and Designer together. Anyone has a solution?

I cannot launch the designer from the client or the client from designer.I cannot launch the two applications from the desktop icons too.

I started with 8.0 client/designer/administrator and all was well.

When I upgraded to 8.5.2 I had a lot of errors and I had to uninstall all.

I did a new fresh installation and I got the same error: client and designer couldn’t be opened at the same time.

Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled client/designer/administrator again in a different path, but the problem is the same: client and designer cannot been opened together.

I try to delete the workspace folder, but the problem is still present.

I cannot reinstall windows…any suggestion who can fix the problem?

Also, 32 or 64 bit? Is UAC enabled (assuming Vista or W7)? Have you installed using the right-click “Run As Administrator” option?

I have Windows Vista Professional 32 bit and yes, I have installed it with right click “run as administrator”.Please note that previous 8.0 version was able to launch client and designer togheter.

hi we have the same problem here running Designer 8.5.2 with Admin or Client on Windows 7 64 Bit at the same time. Complete uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t help.

For me using Windows 7 32 Bit it works fine.

Subject: Same problem here

I am using W7 with 8.5.2. It started with a endless loop during the client startup. After reinstallation the client cannot start the designer and visa versa. When I start the designer from the client (in Eclipse dude) it takes 5 counts and than it loading process stopps.

I tried reinstallation , repair, delete framework, remove partly, delete everything, install in a different path, downgrade to 8.5.1 - Don’t tell me I have to reinstall windows. This is so bad ! Were is the buffer or reg entry I have to remove :wink:
