Unable to archive selected docuemnt

Hi All …I’m trying to archive my database (not a mailing database).I set the criteria properly in Archive Settings of Database Properties.But when tried to archive selected documents (File - Database - Archive) from a view i got message in the status bar stating “Archiving Completed Sucessfully:0 Documents Archived.0 Document Deleted. 0 Document Truncated”

But if i select “Not Modified in more than” days specified …in the selection criteria and tried archiving (File - Database - Archive) it works properly.

Am i escaping somethin.Please let me know if you need more details or clarification.

Subject: archive settings, advanced tab

There is an option that says something about not removing an item until all responses are archived as well. Look for that and disable it.

I tried by turning these setting off also but still It is not working.

Is there any other settings?

Subject: Not a supported function in non-mail databases

Unfortunately, archive selected docs is not supported in non-mail databases. ‘Selected by user’ criteria sets can only be used through the Actions - Archive - Archive Selected Docs command, which is only implemented in mailfiles. (Can also be used as a drop target in mail navigator – again, only in mailfiles.)

The online help doc “Selecting documents to archive” mentions this, although perhaps not so clearly.
