Uimemodocument error

Hello,

We recently upgrade our server from 6.5.4 to 8.5.

After the upgrade I did not perform compact on databases. Mail files seems to be working fine. But there is a strange problem for one of my user.

When user opens up mail file, or archive file, he gets an error message, “Type mismatch or external name UIMEMODOCUMENT”. User clicks Ok then again gets message, “Variant is not an object”.

I performed following tasks on his mail and archive file.

  1. Compact -c both mail and archive files, now ODS is 48

  2. Load fixup

  3. Load updall

  4. Replace design with Mail85 template

  5. verified there is no design referesh/replace lock on forms and agents

but still no luck.

Any idea what is wrong or what else I am missing?

Subject: mail file convert?

I’m not sure this is right… I haven’t done much admin for several years, and I can’t find the convert help in the administrator help files, but maybe you need to run the convert utility on the mail file?

I have also experienced this problem.

I managed to get this to go away by performing the following steps:

  1. Run convert to upgrade the database design to a new template

  2. Upgrading all folders

  3. Recompiling all folders

  4. Run convert again.

Please could you explain you action, what is your step by step to rebuild the folder ?

is it a CTRL-ALT F9 ?
