Is there any way to know if a particular Domino directory is storing Mailboxes only or Databases of other types too?
Subject: Type of DB Store
The Domino Directory is a database. Databases don’t store other databases, so your question doesn’t make sense. Can you rephrase it to clearly indicate your meaning? (Or will the catalog database answer your question without re-asking it?)

Rephrasing my question: Is ther any way to know if a particular folder[folders accessible by LDAP] or database store is storing only Mailboxes or databases of other types too like document libraries or discussion database? To illustrate with an example, i want to know if “c:\Lotus\Domino\Data\mail” folder contains only Mailboxes or databases of other types also?

If all your mail-databases depends from one mail-template you can check them. In the catalog.nsf you will find all databases from your required folder and their template-name. Another way is a lotus-script-agent which loop through all databases found (see class NotesDbDirectory). If you have also mail-in-databases which depends from various templates, you have also check the mail-in-documents in your Domino Directory.

You can also check on demand in realtime by simply scrolling the Admin client’s Files tab over to the right and viewing (and optionally sorting by) the Template column.
