Trend Micro 3.0 Best Practices

We upgraded our Trend Micro virus scan to 3.0 on Saturday. We have had some bumps in the road, which leads me to this question.

If you are using Trend Micro ScanMail for Domino 3.0 how often are you running the scheduled pattern file update? I currently have it once a day at 4:00AM, is this sufficient?

We had someone at 5:28PM yesterday do a manual pattern file download, he downloaded the same pattern file we already had. This gave us a corrupt pattern file. It then brought down a corrupt pattern file at the regular 4:00AM update this morning.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there an issue with pulling the same pattern file twice?

My scanmail goes out and get updates every 360 minutes. I haven’t had any issues with the same pattern file being downloaded.

We still don’t have any determination from TrendMicro as the cause. But for now we seem stable.
