After we installed Traveler 8.5.1, our main website on the Domino server has been taken over by Traveler. That is, when we try to access the website we get an Authentication Request from /servlet/traveler and can’t reach the website itself. Apparently this is a new problem with Traveler, as we haven’t had it before.
We’ve tried different ways around this (eg, creating an alternative website to link Traveler to), but Traveler seems to automatically overwrite these and continue to take over the main URL.
We’re running Domino 8.5.1 on Windows Server 2003R2 Standard X64 ed Service Pack 2.
This is an option during install, you get a choice of whether you want to make Traveler the default site on that server. This would mainly be used if you had a dedicated Domino server for Traveler.
If you’ve made the wrong choice during installation, you need to point your internet site documents back to the correct URL.
Correct - it is an install option. You can over ride in the notes.ini file. Delete the NTS_WEBSITE_HOME parameter and Traveler will stop trying to set itself as home page. You will then need to update the Server doc or I-Site docs to have the correct Home URL parameter for your organization.
