After installed traveler 8.5.1, nearly 100% of contact list in my phone are gone. (Only 4 remaining)I didn’t select “Sync Contact”. How come?
Is there any way to restore?

Was this a first time install or an upgrade?
After any type of install (first time or overinstall) the first sync for any of the PIM types is a “replace from server”.
For the “first time” install we should only do the “replace from server” sync for contacts if the user selected to sync contacts. In this scenario you will loose any contacts on the device that are not backed up on the server. At some point we added a merge option that gives users the choice to either merge or replace their existing contacts with what is on the server.
On the over install case it’s pretty much the same except for the fact that we will only do the “replace from server” sync for contacts if the user had already been syncing contacts in the previous release. In this scenario since the user had already been syncing contacts they should be on the server.
If possible please send me a TPR (Traveler Problem Report) from the faulting device and I will be able to figure out exactly what happened for this particular user.
PS - If we wipe the contacts on the device and he did not have them backed up on the server there is no way to recover them.
