Traveler iphones Windows mobile and port 8642

What port does the Iphone use to sync with Traveler. Is it different then windows mobile. The reason I ask is we have iphones users working fine and a recently installed Windows Mobile device fails to sync with a Error 8 on port 8642. Any suggestions

Subject: Encryption?

Hi

what kind of Encryption did you activate in your Webserver config?

Windows Mobile Devices are dump and can’t connect, if the encryption is set to AES.

Subject: RE: Traveler iphones Windows mobile and port 8642

WM and Nokia devices use port 8642 for notifications about data on the server. Apple devices do not use this port. So this is expected behavior if port 8642 is blocked by a firewall. For WM and Nokia devices you will need to contact the network administrator to ensure this port is open to the Traveler server.

Note: We are investigating this for future releases to remove the need for this port.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Subject: now with traveler 8.5.2

i read that port 8642 was not necessary for Windows mobile smartphone to synchronize. What kind of change in my config may i do ? (wm.nts ?)
