Problem/Query: After the new Samsung S26 line of phones won’t connect to Verse, I’m wondering what others are using for an MDM.

Currently we are using Ivanti/MobileIron. The error we get when trying to do the initial sync is that the device “…does not support the MAM required policy and MAM required is enabled….” This is set but we have the signature from the Ivanti system. We’ve even tried to update it and it still stops the initial sync. This is only on the new S26 phones that were released last week.

I found a KB “Removal of Support for HCL Verse for MobileIron on Android as Ivanti withdraws support for AppConnect in MobileIron “ and figure this is part of the problem. Ivanti has been zero help so far.

It just so happens that our renewal with Ivanti is coming up in April and we are open to change. I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone has a recommendation for an MDM solution.

There are 2 aspects to this, and I’m only going to respond to the first. You should open a support case for the S26 running Verse App 14.5.8.0 202603091154 getting blocked. Maybe something in the flows between the device and server are not as expected (the device has to indicate it has enforced the policy with the given signature), and it is just getting blocked although it has been enforced. Having logs would give more details on what is going on here.

Have you seen this issue with any other devices running Verse App 14.5.8.0 202603091154 or is it only on the S26? Please include that detail (whatever information you have) in the support case.

User synchronization problems for the server logs.

Device logging for the client logs.

Thank you for responding. I’ll get that PMR entered shortly.
