Traveler 8.5.2.1 crashes server every night

Hello

Since the upgrade on our Traveler-Server to 8.5.2.1, the Server crashes every night and self restarts without trouble

If i’ve the sametime-Task also running, the Server crashes like 10 times in a night for 3 hours and the Tasks are running after the self restart, but they are not working.

Crash Message is:

Stack base=0x0006ED78, Stack size = 24016 bytes

PANIC: AccessAllProtected() error 107 from MapSharedRegion on pool 171 of 173 pools

is that some memory problem?

i change the jvm Memory from 64 to 256mb, it didnt change anything.

Special is, it only crashes during the night, never at day (when people are working).

Anyone an idea?

The normal minium Java memory requirement in the Server Doc is 512M, so being less than that could cause some problems, but that said it should cause an OutOfMemory error vs NSD crash.

I would suggest that you upgrade to GA level of code and if the problem exist on GA level open an PMR.

Data to collect for the problem

  1. Set logging to FINER for Traveler

  2. After the crash upload the contents of the /IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT directory.
