Traveler 8.0.1.2 and Windows Mobile 6.1

Just installed Traveler 8.0.1 and discovered the Windows Mobile 6.0 Smartphone client is not compatible with WM 6.1. I then upgraded Traveler using the 8.0.1.2 fix which now covers WM 6.1 (according to the documentation):

IBM Lotus Notes® Traveler Client supports the following mobile devices:

* Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC

* Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC Phone Edition

* Windows Mobile 5.0 for SmartPhone

* Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic

* Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard

* Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional

* Windows Mobile 6.1 Classic

* Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard

* Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional

However, within the traveler/index.html document (post the 8.0.1.2 install) there is still the same list of clients as with 8.0.1:

In fact, these are the same clients as for 8.0.1 as far as I can see and 6.0 versions still do not work. Anyone have any ideas where to get the WM 6.1 clients from?

The CAB file is the same for both 6.0 and 6.1, so it is the 6.0 link that you should use.

Given that you followed that link, there is some other problem. One simple thing to check is whether or not you downloaded the right version (if your device has a touch screen, then you need the Windows Mobile 6.0 Pocket PC version). Assuming you had the right client version (after you install, you can check that the version is 8.0.1.2 on the device), you’ll need to open a PMR with the device specifics so that we can investigate further.
