I want to set the parameter ‘TransLog_UseAll=1’ instead of ‘0’ in ‘notes.ini’

to use all available space on the directory that is being used for the transaction logs

because I use separate device dedicated to storing the extent
I tried to change the parameter to 1 by modifying the notes.ini file but the server just overwrites it back to 0
Does anyone recognize this?
Could it be that if the server uses Archived logging style then this parameter is not valid?
Ibm on notes.ini says that the parameter TransLog_UseAll is:
“UI equivalent: “Use all available space on log device” field in the Transactional Logging tab of the Server document.” *
And when I check the admin client the field does not appear when I use archived logging style. But when I switch to Linear or Circular it is there!
