Hello,
I have a bunch of emails stuck in pending state, all they have in common is they have multiple recipients and an attachment.
the other emails are sent fine, but these return : transient error received from remote server knowing that the remote relay server is an HCL Domino as well.
Further debug enabled returned the following error : SMTPClient: Connection terminated with status: 2562
local firewall is off and ports 25 and 1352 are allowed between the two
selinux is permissive
Kindly suggest me other ways to check why this is pending ?

This error message: SMTPClient: Data Send Failed XXXXXX bytes, Status: 2562 typically indicates an issue at the network layer, and is rarely resolved through configuration changes to the Domino application (layer 5 of the TCP/IP stack). As the SMTP client, Domino receives a TCP-level request from a layer 4 device (such as the operating system, firewall, etc.) to terminate the session. The root cause could be packet loss, out-of-sequence packets, or a TCP session timeout.
Another possible cause is that the destination domain is rejecting the messages. You will need to contact the receiving server to determine why your sender is being rejected.
I recommend opening a support ticket with the HCL Support team so they can investigate the issue thoroughly. Complete logging will be required for a better understanding of the problem.

The error message "SMTPClient: Connection terminated with status: 2562" indicates that the SMTP connection was terminated before receiving the complete message. The mentioned error message is outside domino and is at network level.
This could be due to various reasons such as network restrictions or rules, antivirus scanning, firewall issues, or interference from another application. To fix this error, you can: check your network for any rules or restrictions, review your firewall settings, examine your antivirus software, temporarily disable SMTP scanning, and consider switching to a different internet service provider.

I have already found the link provided and made sure the port 25/TCP and 1352 are open.
Please note that both the mail server and the relay are domino and are on my local network and the firewall between the two have those ports open.
Please note that this affects only Emails with large recipients list. those with one recipent or few get through without any issue.
the debug activated showed the following :

when it's only a few recipients the message is accepted for delivery :

Which leads me to believe the session is reset after a little over 100 send attempts
Is there a specific configuration in Domino that limits the max simultaneous sessions for example on the inbound side of the domino mail relay? for example i have tried setting this param in notes.ini : RouterAllowConcurrentXFERToALL=1 but the issue is still there.
I am looking for a confirmation that even though not all emails are pending in the mailbox (only those with large recipients) the status 2562 would still only point to a network issue and not a domino config.

Thank you for the update.
Based on the provided logs, it seems that the SMTP client session was reset before receiving a response from the destination SMTP server. There was no response received from the destination server in the provided logs. According to the logs, the SMTP session was terminated with status code 2562, which is unrelated to the Domino server.
