Hi,

I am trying to find or develop a Notes database that I can use for training. The basic principle is that each user has there own document and when they open that document they can assign themselves a course.

The problem I am having is copying a form (which is a training course/module) and assigning it to the user. I think I’m getting myself confused so need some guidence.

Alternatively, does anybody know of any free templates that could assist with this?

I basically want to be able to assign different training courses to people and then monitor they progress and get there feedback.

Any help / Guidence is welcome, I’m going potty.

P.S. I’m an admin not a developer hence the nieveity and lack of spelling !

You don’t provide a lot of information so I’m going to make some assumptions and answer based on those assumptions.

It sounds like you’re working with something that already exists (course listing db??) and want to add functionality to it (course sign up).

You need a new form intended to be a signup form (let’s call it ‘SignUp’. This form needs to have whatever fields you think are important.

On the course form, add a button ‘Sign up’ that does @Command([Compose];“SignUp”).

If there are fields on the Course doc that need to be in the signup doc, make sure they’re on the signup form design and set the form to inherit data.

Poof - done.

If my assumptions are correct but my answer seems too complex, you’ll need to start building some designer chops.

If this is something you need right away, you may want to think about buying some help.
