Totals in a Categorized View

Hi All,

I created a view with 3 levels of categories. In my view I have 4 columns which shows the values as “Totals”. When I open the view in Notes Client / Web the totals at category level are showing fine. The problem here is if I have readers fields in the documents and in this scenario the totals will not match. Elaborately

  1. I have say 200 documents.

  2. Among the 200 documents, say for example User 1 is present in 120 documents, User 2 is present in 100 documents.

  3. When User 1 and User 2 opens the above mentioned view, they can see only their respective documents, however the problem is the totals at category level will always shows the totals of all 200 documents. When the user opens the view because of the Readers fields the totals in the view are messed up.

I also tried using a private view, instead of a shared view, in this case the totals will show-up properly.

Now I will come to my problem, I want to access this view programatically using Lotus Script, so I need access to this view. If I use “Shared” view then the totals will messup, If I use “Private” desktop view then I won’t get control of the View Navigator.

If any of you face similar problem and has a solution, please help me.
