Im looking into getting Domino Express and Lotus Notes 8.
If I were to get Domino Express is Lotus Notes bundled with it or will I need to make a separate purchase?

there are different bundles and special offers. last one I’ve seen had the domino server (incl. ST) and 5 notes licenses included and up to 45 more notes licenses my have been ordered for a special price.

To answer your question specifically, Express licensing is per user only and each user has a “bundled” entitlement for a Notes client, web mail and other applicable entitlements (Symphony, Sametime, Quickr Entry, etc).
There are limitations, but you are free to install as many Domino servers as you wish (provided they are not clustered).
