Tooltip/hovertext persistence on OS X client 8.5

Is anyone else noticing issues on clients in which the tooltips / popups / hovertext for folders, unread message icons, etc., etc. will not go away when the mouse is moved or after a decent interval?

I have one Mac OS X user whose screen (in any/all apps) becomes cluttered with Notes tooltips which can only be removed by quitting the Notes client. Issue occurs after the client has been started and running for a short time (half-hour to an hour), typically.

This was an issue under Beta 2, appeared to be resolved under 8.5-R, but has recurred after a week on the release code.

(Only one of several local Mac users is having this issue, I should note.)

Subject: Way to dismiss the tooltip

Is it a particular view, gesture, database that they’re occurring within?

You can dismiss the tooltips by clicking in them and then hitting the Esc key.

Subject: workaround

Issue is mostly from Mail; I’ll pass along the dismissal “esc key” tip as a workaround, but manually dismissing automatic tooltips is not acceptable.

Is this an isolated case?
