Too many fields in the Field option of the extended search

Hi all,

The client needs to do a search on the notes client of the db, they are using the Field option for the search, they are complaining that they are too many fields to choose from, is there a way to reduce the number of fields displaying on the Field option for the extended search.

Or any other ways of doing the search on the client side.

Hi

What you can do is building a search front-end which allows the user to select from a defined list of fields, enters a string etc. to build a user defined search string . This could be designed more or less similar to the built-in extended search, but with a limited number of fields.

You mean one that would allow the user to select the fields that they want to search on?

Is there such a template around?
