I need to control a scanner with Notes.
Would you have an idea or an example of code to do this?

I had to do the same thing! You need some middelware to communicate from the notes-client with the TWAIN-driver.There are some products on the market wich resolves this problem but one can do more than the other.
I have used the product of http://www.documentscanning.de
works fine, simple configuration, english version available.

Twain driver-options are simple configurable/per scan from the notes-client (document-level) or by default configaration database.
Distribution of some .dll’s required but simple and no registry entries.
Works with most common scanners (Cannon, Epson, HP)
