To capture the mail sent Event

i have four replica copy ,in one copy i have changed the design element [form] . But the replication is sheduled it takes place only at 2 hour interval . In this situation i am send a mail with a document created using the design element that was modified.

users in other replica recieve the mail . but when they try to open the document , they cannot open ,because the Replication has not taken place. So can i prevent this .

Can i delay the mail, to be send at the time of replication, so that user can get the mail & the replication changes in there database at the same time .

if this is possible how can i delay the mail being send now to later at the time of replication. can this be done any agents.

Thanks in advance for ur valuable reply.

Maybe you could initiate the replication by script with a sendConsole command before sending your mail.

Or

Modify your mail agent, have it to wait until a certain flag is set in your db.

Check for replication history.

i am not allowed to initiate the replication . The replicaton is scheduled take place at every 2 hout interval.

Tell me what r the changes to be made to my mail agent to make in wait until replication takes place.

How come the mail agent can get to know when the replication occurs [Time of replication].

Hi,

Pretty difficult to explain.

For example, server One and server 2. Both are replicas of each others.

Document is created on Server one . A field called : ReplicationDone = “No”, MailSent = “No”

You mail agent resides in Server one and 2 must check this field value. If ReplicationDone = 'No", the agent must wait before sending a message.

During that time, the replication occurs with server 2. The document still have ReplicationDone = “No” and mailSent= “No”

In server 2, an agent will , your Mail send agent, run every X minutes to check documents with ReplicationDone = “No” and MailSent=“No” and set it to ReplicationDone = “Yes” and send your mail to your user. It then set the flag MailSent to “Yes”.

It’s not optimal but it shoul work with a few tweaking.
