I have an application that runs on a server in the United Kingdom. The application has a view with documents that were created on the web by users in various time zones. The view has two columns - one with the formula @Created and another with the formula @Time(@Created). The times in each of the two columns differ. For example, @Created returns 02/22/2006 07:00:02 PM and @Time(@Created) returns 12:00:02 AM.
I’m assuming that the time component that’s displayed from @Created is the local time of the user who created the document and that @Time(@Created) displays the server time.
Is this assumption correct?
Thanks.

My understanding is @Time takes a time value in (hours, minutes, second) @Created returns a Date/Time stamp of when your doc is created.
So @Created will return teh date/Time value and @Time(@Created) will parse only the time values from the Time/Date returned by @Created.

Hi Shawn. For the same document in a view, @Created returns 02/22/2006 07:00:02 PM and @Time(@Created) returns 12:00:02 AM. I’m assuming that 07:00:02 PM was the local time that a user created the document on the web while 12:00:02 AM was the server time. I’m interested in whether this assumption is correct.
Thanks.

Hmm, I think you might need to handle the TZ in your document. (See the calendar as an example).
So, yes, I think you are correct. @Created will show the Creation date of the document (Server based DateTime unless created on a local replica). If your server with the view is in a diff TZ then I think that is why the difference is there. @Created is showing you when it was created (Creation Server Time) @Time is showing you that time converted to Local Server Time.
The easy way to validate - Is the time adjustment correct against GMT time?
