Thousands of Change HTTP Password in Domino Directory in Admin4.nsf with ID Vault enabled

I already have a ticket open for this issue but wanted to get feedback as to what others have done with this problem.

The problem is if you have configured the ID Vault and also enabled sync of the HTTP password with the Notes ID the Notes client sends a request to Change HTTP password about once every 5 min.

This is creating thousands of those requests in Adminp.

This issue was corrected in 8.5 FP1 and 8.5.1 Domino.

The Notes clients are supposed to have a fix starting in 8.5 FP1 but our environment has the problem with all clients except for 8.5.1 running against our 8.5.1 server.

I was wondering what other’s have done with this issue? Our user base is 90 percent 8.5 with no fix pack.
