This should be simple

This should be a simple agent but I cannot get it to work

I have a database with over 15000 documents. A field in the form needs to either have a 0 or a number. When these documents where entered if there was no number to enter the field was left blank. I need to go into these documents a put a 0. I wrote the following agent

@If(CompanyRevenue = “”; “0”; “”)

and told it to run on selected documents but when I run the agent nothing happens.

What am I missing?

  1. Make agent run against all docs in db2) Formula as follows:

SELECT CompanyRevenue = “”;

FIELD CompanyRevenue := 0;

I’ve done this once or twice myself…

Think about this; are you telling your code to set a field? You know, like using @SetField…?

since you are using an agent, you need to do the field assignment

suggest you try this in the agent

@If(CompanyRevenue = “”;

@SetField(“CompanyRevenue”;“0”);

“”)

Also, do you went to set this field to a string value “0” or to a numeric value 0?
