There is no default mail client

We are getting the MS Outlook error “Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request…” I found once, but cannot locate again, this issue here, and it advised that Notes be installed AFTER MS Office. That did not work. Notes is set as the default client. We have uninstalled Outlook. And the issue does not resolve. We do not get this error on all machines or all OS. Anyone have any further advice? Thanks!

Teresa,

Have you checked Control Panel ==> Internet Options ==> Programs tab, and set the “E-mail” program to Lotus Notes? [If you’re running Windows XP, the screens may be different.] If the change does not take effect after the PC is rebooted, then try having someone with Windows administrator rights log onto the PC and make the update. I ran into problems changing my default e-mail client and I suspect it was because I lacked Windows admin rights to my PC.
