The ".transformXML" method of a rich text item seems to generate incompatible DXL in ND7

We have a java agent, which performs the following command xmlin.transformXML(xsl, result);

where:

xmlin is an embedded file containing XML

result is the output DXL

XSL is a very simple XSLT file to convert the xml to dxl, in which the database is defined as follows

Under R5, this creates DXL with the following structure :

1TextValue etc

Under R7 the DXL now includes a reference to a Null xmlns within each item :

1TextValue etc

When I try to import this DXL into directory\filepath.nsf using the Java DXLimporter.importDxl method, it objects, telling me that xmlns is null.

I know I can import this unvalidated, but I would prefer the XML transformation to create the same DXL as before.

Can anyone help?

Sound very weird - either one would expect a fill namespace declaration or no xmlns declaration at all. What is the default namespace in the xslt file set to and can you post the entire stylesheet?
