The string representation of a datetime value is out of range

I am new to updating DB2 and etc. I am trying to update a DB2 row with a date field.

query_text = "UPDATE MYTABLE.ORDERED_ITEM " +_

“Set SBMT_DT = '” + Cstr(doc_single.DT_SBMT(0)) + "’ " +_

“where ORDR_UNQ_ID = '” + doc_single.UNQ_ID(0) + “';”

If (src. Execute (query_text, fldLst) = 0) Then

msg = “No records were fetched.”

End

End If

I receive the above mentioned error when the Execute happens. The DT_SBMT form value is 05/31/2006 11:00:00 AM CDT.

How do I get this to import correctly. I have read around and it seems like I need to convert the date to the following format: 1991-10-27-13.30.05.000000

Not sure how to get this done.
