The "select all emails” feature in Verse

Hi

A user has a problem with “select all emails” in mail in Verse.
For example, the user needs to delete emails or “mark all as read” in mail.
There is no “select all” button. So he uses Ctrl+A. But then not all mail is selected, but only the first 30 items:

How to correctly make this function for all mails in the mail? A user can have hundreds/thousands of mails

Please check there must be only 30 emails displayed on that page. Only the displayed emails will be selected.

This is logical and in line with any other mail system to prevent accidental deletions.

Thanks for the answer. But then how can the user select all emails? Even if not delete emails but “mark all as read”.

We have tested this feature in Notes, iNotes, Nomad. And it works there.

I think this feature is not there. I have seen a request in ideas portal requesting for this feature. Scrolling down to display more mails in combination with select all may help.

HCL Verse only shows 30 messages on a page and if user scrolls down further, then it goes on showing older messages. So if user continues to scroll down, it will continue to show older messages. Then if you press Ctrl + A then it will select all the messages which are currently displayed. In that case it can select more than 30 messages. Basically to avoid performance issues, it doesn't show all the mails at a time because user's Inbox can have several mails and there is no need to show all these mails at a time.

This is working as designed at the moment and also other email systems like Gmail/Yahoo shows the similar behavior. This is standardized behavior for a web based client. If you want to select all the mails then please use more powerful desktop based client like Notes Client.
