Our Windows XP users get the following message when trying to open an embedded tiff image:“The object’s application or class is not available”.
They can however open a tiff file which is not embedded.
This does not occur for our users still running Windows 2000.
I would appreciate any suggestions
Thanks in advance
Phil
Subject: The object’s application or class is not available
This is an issue with Notes attempting to load the file’s object class/reference. If there is something incorrect with the file when the embed method takes, place, this could be your issue. Also, I’ve seen instances when you embed a file and the file structure change (that was weird :)). The work-around was to attach the file to the document instead of embeddinf it to a field. However, I don’t know if this would help, since I do not know your business requirements.
