I have a few users that recieve mail with the content of the massage as one long string (e.g. thecontentofthemassagebecomesonelongstring). It happens from several different senders and different location. Common to all such massages is that they were sent from Outlook v.10 (but I cannot say for sure that that`s the problem).
I had a massage from such sender sent to myself as well as one of the users with the problem (to check different mailfiles on the same Notes client). On my mailfile the massage was OK but on the user`s mailfile the body of the massage was onelongstring.
I tried to mangle with html/text properties, but nothing work.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. This is a major problem for us and this one user is a real pain in the …

Try highlighting the non-spaced text in the pain-in-the-*** user’s mail and pasting it into notepad. See if the spaces are there and not displaying, or just not there. You might also view the source of the message. It could be that the user has selected a font in his browser that is at odds with the spaces.

Thank for your advice, but…
-
we do not use browsers, rather we use Note client.
-
I set the mail relay machine to keep a copy of every mail for that user. on the mail relay the mail is perfectly OK.
-
if such problematic massage is sent with cc to me (same lotus notes client & OS), I receive it fine, but if I open the user`s mail DB the massage is already corrupted (leads me to think that there is some problem with the mail file).
-
if I forward the massage from my mail (which was received OK) to that user, it arrives OK.
a real headache, please help…
many thanks,
Yuval

Font selection is not restricted to browsers – users can change their font preferences in Notes as well.

Everything you describe can be attributed to the user’s incoming mail preferences – check the settings on the user’s Person document. Using “Leave in sender’s format” is usually the best option.
