Hi,
My customer has a strange question about keyboards. Can someone help on this? I am in Europe and do not know anything about Asian keyboards.
They are using the R801 client on a R703 server on Windows 2003. The server is based in Amsterdam and is English only.
Here is the text.
Users in Thailand use ‘Grave Accent’ key sequence in Windows to switch input language between English and Thai. In Lotus Notes 8.0.1, when create a new email, they cannot use ‘Grave Accent’ to switch language. If we change the key sequence to ‘Left Alt + Shift’, they can switch language in Lotus Notes 8.0.1.
HK users use ‘Left Alt + Shift’ to switch language between English and Chinese and therefore no problem. Most of the HK users use Chinese Windows XP and there is no ‘Grave Accent’ for them to choose’. I think only English Windows XP provide ‘Grave Accent’ to choose. There is no problem to use ‘Grave Accent’ to switch language in Windows Vista.
