I have BIG problems to layout tables on my forms. Is this functionalaity in Lotus working as it should, or am I doing some mistakes?
-
I have 3 tables on a form, some of them have nested tables.
-
All the top level tables are set to ‘fit to window’
-
Nested tables are set to ‘fit to margins’
Every table has left margin set to 2,54 absolute (which is the default) and 100% relative
However, the result is, that the first table is 3/4 of the width of second two tables (even when it is set to fit to window).
And also, why is the default left margin = 2,54? Sometimes if I set here someting different, it displays horizontal scroll bar.
Any ideas/explanations?

Tables are somewhat tricky in Notes. You can mess them up to a state where you will have no other chance than to recreate them from scratch.
I have 3 tables on a form, some of them have nested tables.
All the top level tables are set to ‘fit to window’
Nested tables are set to ‘fit to margins’
Nested tables are even trickier. Nevertheless, I have designed a form with a big tabbed table, where each tab (line) holds a second level table, where some cells contain 3rd level tables. And it looks fine - after some finetuning.
All tables are set to “fit with margins”. The left margin of the top level table is set to 2,00 (cm). The table fits perfectly in the screen, altough the h-scroll bar is not visible - if deactivated over the view menu.
Every table has left margin set to 2,54 absolute
(which is the default) and 100% relative
However, the result is, that the first table is 3/4 of the >>width of second two tables (even when it is set to fit to window).

It is 1" (inch).
Sometimes if I set here someting different, it displays
horizontal scroll bar.
If the table doesnt fit the screen, the h-scroll bar appears. Try setting all tables to fit with margins.
Regards and good luck.

Hi Uwe,
thx for your reply …
For me it’s little bit strange, that if I set 2 forms with the same table settings and both forms look different.
So far I didn’t find any logic in table design, which can I use to achieve my goals …
How do you set the right margin for tables? I want to have a table to be screen-wide, but there should be a padding from the right screen edge.
I use 98%/relative … Is this setting correct?
Thx,
Juraj
