Table borders in email only show in black

This issue only seems to occur for me, not for my colleagues.

If I create a table, I cannot change the border colours to anything other than black. The colour options are available and I can select them, but this has no affect on the table border colours as I see them.

However, if I change the colour and send it to a colleague, they see the colour I chose. On sending a table to me, the colours always show as black, no matter what they choose.

I assume this is some setting on my mail template somewhere, but I don’t know where. Any ideas would be fab!!

Thanks

Subject: Could you have selected a “low vision” theme?

This sounds like the client thinks you need things in high-contrast – black and white only. Check under File / Preferences, windows and themes.

If not that, I don’t know. Could you have your display settings in some odd low-color mode? Does it make a difference if you select a “basic” color from the top two rows of the grid, as opposed to salmon or whatever you’re trying?

Subject: I can change colours elsewhere

Hi, thank you for responding. The weird thing is that I can change the cell colours, font colours, everything else. It’s just the borders of a table that I can’t seem to change. I’m using a grey from the top part of the colour palette too, not a more complex one. It’s really stumped me. I could try re-installing Notes, which I think I will do at some point.
