I have a client that wants me to build a fairly complex contact management db, which they (ugh!) want to sync with their Outlook addressbooks. I told them no promises on that feature, and they said that would kill the deal. It seems really dumb, but does anyone have experience doing anything like this? Or any pretty clear idea of how it could be done?
As a possible alternative (much better in my opinion, but not theirs) would be making my contact db serve addresses thru LDAP, but that sounds like a very non-trivial task as well (remember: I’m doing this with a custom db, not a Notes NAB). But any ideas on how to do that (and how difficult it would be) would also be appreciated.
I know I could probably figure these things out with days and days of experimenting, but if someone has already run up against these issues and can spare five minutes… I’d be very grateful.

but it doesn’t look like it synchronizes, so I’m not expecting it satisfy their requirements.
