Sync Problems with Traveler 9.0.1 on Android smartphone

Hi,

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with IBM Traveler 9.0.1 and I have big problems with Sync settings and Sync behavior of my traveler. Some of these problems seems to be known since Version 8.x and should be fixed, but unfortunately I still have these problems with Traveler Version 9.0.1

The following problems I have:

  • I have set the sync mode to “Manual” and always when I want to start the sync, Traveler tries to connect but nothing happens. I have to select “Sync” again and then, it starts immediately. This behavior seems to be known and should be fixed in Lotus Traveler 8.5.3.2 HF1 and later (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO68197 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO68197) but in 9.0.1 it is still present!!!
  • Although I’ve set Traveler to manual mode he’s performing an automatic sync from time to time (it seems when the Service is starting). And because of my first problem, these automatic syncs reduces the lifetime of my battery heavily and the Smartphone becomes very warm during the unsuccessful try to connect to Server (remember my first problem). This problem seems also to be known (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO66868 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO66868) and fixed in 8.5.3.2 and later but IT ISN’T in Version 9.0.1
  • And my last problem: although the Traveler Server is configured to let the Traveler app on the device decide which sync mode it has to use, the app always switches the sync mode automatically from manual mode to “always connected” mode after a couple of days. This is fatal because of my first problem again this leads to a very warm device and a very fast empty battery and at least to a very angry user!!!
So my question: does anybody also have these problems with Traveler 9.0.1 and is there a solution how they can be fixed permamently???
