We recently installed Symantec SAV 3.1 on our new Domino 6.0.1 server. The installation went great and the program seems very easy to use but one problem: the content filtering dictionary doesn’t appear to have been installed or can’t be referenced.
If you enable content filtering and set the threshold all the way down to score >1, it lets everything through. If I create my own wordlist it stops the messages immediately. Because of the lack of response (I’ve never been able to get it to stop messages that would make Drill Sgts blush) I’m assuming either it didn’t load or for some reason cannot reference it. Symantec is supposed to be getting back with me about this, though they admit they are stumped.
This is a trial version installed on a brand new (i.e. not an upgrade) 6.0.1 Domino server. We actually own the license for SAV, but as I understand they aren’t shipping it until the end of April and have been encouraging everyone to use the trial with its 60 day license until the cds go out.
Any help or thoughts on this is appreciated – I’ve already uninstalled it and reinstalled it from a different trial download with the same results.
Thanks!
