Symantec Mail Security 4.1 - Runtime Error

We have recently upgraded our SAV 3.1 to SMS 4.1 and, since this upgrade, consistently received the following Error Box:-------------------------------------

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Lotus\Domino\nntask.exe

R6025

-pure virtual function call

It does not shut down the Domino Server but, causes Mail to back up in the Mail.box with “Symantec AntiVirus/Content Filtering scan pending”. The only way we have found to resolve this issue is to clear the message and reboot the server. We have placed a Call with Symantec (Case is still pending) and they had us run a Debug parameter in the notes.ini (SAVTrace=4). We can see that this is performing the trace but, still no resolve. We have not heard back from Symantec (at the time of this posting).

We were just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if there has been any resolve to it.

Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the same problem on my Dutch server (R6.5 on W2003) yesterday and two weeks ago on my US server (R6.5 on W2k). Did you get any response from Symantec yet?

I’ve got the same problem (W2k3, Domino 6.5.3)Symantec says: if sender file contains more then 256 chars, this will happen. But in 4.1 build 21 is this fixed.

I’ve got this release, but the same problem.

Any solutions or advices?
