Did you ever get this resolved? Are you seeing this error in your console, log file, or both? I seen something similar to this when the liveupdate.conf file was not configured correctly for a LiveUpdate and when a firewall was not configured to let the server go out to the internet. The LiveUpdate can be configured to go out HTTP or FTP through the liveupdate.conf file. If the server is not allowed to hit the internet then you might also want to consider setting up a LiveUpdate server.
